  • 1 Freshiez Filet
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 8 oz Baby Bella Mushrooms
  • 2 slices Chao Original Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Hoagie Rolls, Sub Rolls - Amoroso’s is the best, but the kind you bake at home will do
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • dash Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 tbsp Vegan Nacho Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Garlic Mayo

Ingredients for Garlic Mayo

  • 3 tbsp Vegan Mayo
  • 1 clove Fresh Garlic - minced
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Salt


  • Pre-heat your oven to warm/cook bread 
  • If you have bake at home bread bake following the directions then let rest
  • Julianne onion and slice mushrooms roughly 1/8 inch thick, then set aside
  • Place a large skillet or sauté pan on a burner and turn the heat on medium heat
  • Add 1 tbsp of oil, julienned onions and sliced mushrooms to the pan then set a timer for 10 minutes 
  • Stir onions and mushrooms often and cook until onions are lightly caramelized - 10-12 minutes
  • Slice your Freshiez Filet into 1/4 inch slices and set aside (don't worry if it falls apart)
  • Mince the garlic for Garlic Mayo while the onions and shrooms are cooking, then combine with mayo and garlic salt and mix thoroughly - reserve for later
  • Remove onions and mushrooms from pan when onions are caramelized and start to brown and crisp up
  • After you remove the onions and shrooms, add remaining oil to the pan, then add the sliced Filet pieces
  • Crisp Filet pieces on both sides then add mushrooms and onions to the pan and cook for 2 minutes 
  • Tear cheese slices into smaller pieces then spread out on top of the Filet/mushroom mix and turn the off heat
  • Once cheese has started to soften up and melt mix and place into rolls
  • Place on baking sheet in the oven for 2-3 minutes to warm/crisp outside of bun a little
  • Enjoy
