Ingredients

  • 1 package Freshiez Taco Crumbles
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 cup Romaine or Iceburg Lettuce
  • 3 Large Flour Tortillas
  • 3 Round Tostada Shells
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Nacho Cheese Wayfare is our favorite, but I will add a recipe soon
  • 1/4 cup Vegan Sour Cream
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Turn a large nonstick skillet on to medium/high heat, then add 1 tbsp of oil
  • Add the Freshiez Taco Crumbles to the skillet
  • Saute crumbles for 6-8 minutes, until crispy & delicious (break into smaller bits with a wooden spoon if necessary)
  • Turn off heat and remove Taco Crumbles from pan

Build Your Crunchwraps

  • Warm your favorite nacho cheese sauce in a microwave-safe bowl and set aside after warmed
  • Place the flour tortillas on a large plate and microwave for 15-20 seconds - just enough to warm them
  •  Lay out your tortillas
  • Add a scoop of Taco Crumbles to the center of each tortilla and spread out evenly (roughly the same size diameter as your tostada)
  • Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce
  • Place one tostada shell on top in the center of each tortilla
  • Spread/drizzle a thin layer of sour cream over the tostada shell and top with lettuce and tomato

Fold Your Crunchwraps

  • Grab the bottom of your flour tortilla (the side closest to you) and fold the edge up and over the center
  • Continue to work your way around folding towards the center creating pleats. Just be sure to fold the tortilla up and over the center fillings. If there is an open spot and your fillings are showing, cut a tortilla in quarters then place a piece in the center and tuck it underneath the pleats so the fillings are completely covered
  • Quickly invert your Crunchwraps after folding process is completed so folds/pleats are on the bottom and they stay together (or turn skillet on prior to folding and flip into oiled pan after folding)

Cooking Your Crunchwraps

  • Turn the same skillet you used to cook the taco crumbles on medium heat, heat 1/3 of remaining olive oil. Add Crunchwrap seam-side down and cook until tortilla is golden brown and crisp, 3-4 minutes per side
  • Repeat process with remaining Crunchwraps
